The Port Credit Yarn Blitz brings together enthusiastic volunteers who are now knitting, crocheting, and stitching to create and install artwork on the streets of Port Credit.
Working with re-purposed yarn materials, there are plans for a range of inventive Yarn Blitz projects to be installed throughout the village in the summer. The Credit River Pedestrian Bridge will be the location for our first installation called “Sail Pass,” celebrating our waterfront community.
Also, watch for Yarn Blitzers Painting the Town Red, at the Farmers Market, and Busker Fest.
Always seeking creative volunteers to participate in projects! Donations or yarn, knitted/ crochet squares and flowers, or gently used throws to be repurposed into fiber art. Drop off locations include; the Port Credit Library, Ladybug Harbor, and Linda’s Craftique.
