Port Credit BIA is Hiring for a Logistics Lead for the Port Credit Farmers Market!
Port Credit BIA businesses should have received a letter from Peel Region regarding changes to Ontario’s recycling program.
As of January 1, 2026, Ontario changed how recycling is managed across the province. While most locations in Peel Region now have a new recycling provider under the Circular Materials program, commercial addresses in Port Credit will continue to receive recycling service from Peel Region.
Your recycling collection day(s) have NOT changed.
You must use the recycling carts assigned to your address that are labelled with a “COMMERCIAL RECYCLING USE ONLY” sticker.
These stickers were placed on applicable carts by Peel staff prior to January 1, 2026.
Do not use unstickered carts, as those are designated for residential use only.
Most locations in Peel are now part of Ontario’s new recycling program managed by Circular Materials. However, commercial properties are not eligible under this new program, and any promotional messaging you may see about these changes does not apply to your business.
